1

You'll now be matched with a mentor

2

What do I expect from the call with my mentor?

During this call, you’ll have the opportunity to present your project, receive constructive feedback, and discuss any questions, ideas, or concerns you may have. This is a great chance to gain insights and guidance to help you take your project even further.

Time for final submissions!

The portal to share your final projects will be open between 14 November and 30 November. Share your entries in a format of your choice and they will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will shortlist the top 7 entries for our finalist's showcase where everyone is invited!

About the challenge

Who can participate?

We’re excited to invite you to take part in the Peaceful Health Programme, a new challenge for students who are curious about they can make a difference in healthcare within the community.

Aspiring changemakers (16+) from any discipline are welcome to participate. If you want to learn more about how the NHS works, or what a career in medicine, mental health, public health, or social care might look like you are encouraged to participate.

Work with students with interests across health and social care, get professional feedback, showcase your vision, and win a £250 prize!

The Main Task

We are re-imagining the NHS, one that is fit for the future - one that prioritises prevention, care in the community and health equity in every neighbourhood.  As we build an NHS fit for the future, we want to address key challenges in our community. The main task is to find creative ways to respond to this challenge.

Pick one of the following themes to address a challenge being faced within its area:

Mental Health

Digital Literacy

Community and Belonging

How can we improve care and engagement in our communities for those who are under-served, digitally excluded or socially isolated?

The process

  1. Choose a theme you will respond to, and identify the issue you would like to address within the theme

  2. Plan a response -  anything is acceptable from a report, video, poster campaign, or community engagement plan

  3. Identify your the key message and intended method of communication - submit this as your initial draft idea. The form to register your interest and share your idea is below.

  4. You will be matched with a mentor based on your initial idea who will be able to support you as you develop the outcome.
