Dr. Lai is a family medicine physician with a host of roles centred on his values of advocacy, education, community and supporting others. He has a specialist interest in mental health and wellbeing and as a National Lead for Wellbeing for the Royal College of General Practitioners, has helped formalise national policy statements and also produced resources to support doctors. He is currently an NHS Digital Health Fellow going upstream to tackle burnout in primary care and exploring innovative and automated solutions that can reduce the workload burden on NHS staff. He currently supports the Digital Care Team and is addressing the pathways in General Practice to improve patient care and safety.
